Hi

I recently discovered Pres Choice Smokin Stampede sliced beef brisket. It makes a great quick meal on a sub bun or hoagie. It is 7.99 for 525 gm, which makes into 4 sandwiches. If you add a ready made coleslaw, or some potato oven fries, you have a quick and filling meal.

It is fully cooked, all you do is heat it up. It is layers of thinly sliced beef dripping in a wonderful thick, spicy chipoltle BBQ sauce.

I highly recommend it. It is refrigerated , not frozen, altho I have frozen it once I got it home.

Thank you Debb,
Husband's favourite dish is Sheppard's Pie, so we will def. give that one a go.

Speaking of children, mine actually had pancakes tonight for dinner, it seems my husband forgot that he was suppose to swing by Costco on the way home from work. Oh well, they were thrilled and ate every bite.

I love your pics Sheryl, I'm a big fan of Indian food so I will def. give this one ago. I think Stock Up is in Kerrisdale is it not?

Great topic Julie!
I shop at Costco, Choices and Stongs. If I had to pick up something prepared at any of them it would be the rotisseri chicken and salad greens. But...if I knew I needed to have something YUMMY ready to warm in the fridge or freezer I would go to Rangoli www.vijsrangoli.ca/market and pick up Kalongi chicken, green beans, daal, jasmin rice and mint mango chutney OR wild salmon cakes for on a bed of mixed greens. Or I would go to Qunince www.quince.ca and get any of their soups, braised meats or fish. Another place which I just read about but have yet to try is Stock Up http://sweetspot.ca/content/view/4219/ for what looks like a great selection of prepared foods. Of course none of these could be considered economical, and fussy children might go to bed hungry but like you, I think about food all day too, the tastier the better! Want to come over for lunch??

Costco's Shepherd's Pie - in the meat section, fresh made. Yummy, but cheesy!
