Actually, my girlfriends and I piled into our last summer - but due to the weight factor and the lack of torque on our boat - we didn't exactly skip across the water. Too bad about the ice - lucky for us our lake never freezes, but then again, it doesn't get as warm as your's in the summer - necessitating the need for wet suits - fortunately Costco usually sells them pretty cheap.
